30+ Businesses Come Together In Brooklyn To Support The Improvement of NYC’s Overall Health

Over 30 businesses and organizations have joined the Healthy NYC Expo, in support of improving the overall health for all New Yorkers. The list of supporting partners include some of NYC’s most recognizable brands; ShopRiteEmblemHealthUnitedHealthcareSenior Whole HealthVita CocoAdvantage Care PhysiciansWellCareBrookdale Hospital, and Kings County Hospital, just to name a few. Developed to create excitement and engagement around the topic of healthcare in New York City, the Healthy NYC Expo presented by ShopRite is set for this Saturday, November 4th, 2017 from 10am to 4pm at the Brooklyn Sports Club.

Healthy NYC is a citywide initiative, with Brooklyn acting as the launching pad. The organizers have plans to produce one expo in each borough every year, as a way to galvanize community influencers, families, millennials, seniors, caregivers and healthcare professionals, around the idea of improving the overall Population Health of New York City.

In addition to over 30 exhibitors covering healthcare, fitness and nutrition, the expo provides attendees with tips and resources to achieve a healthier lifestyle. Event activities include medical screenings, prizes and giveaways, 90’s Hip Hop Spin (cycling) ClassLauryn Hill inspired yoga, cooking demonstrations, Zumba, a Mental Health Roundtable Discussion, an exclusive Open Enrollment Medicare / Medicaid information session,  Free student dance classes by Purelements Dance Company, health insurance options and much more.
