MullanesMullanes Bar & Grill – 71 Lafayette Ave. (Corner of South Elliot Place)

Mullanes Bar & Grill was opened in September of 2006 by husband and wife team David and Deirdre Finnegan. Both have worked in the restaurant and bar industry for 20 plus years. Combining their experience and love of food, they opened Mullanes Bar & Grill in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. With most menu items made from scratch and to order, Appetizers include a combination of your all-time favorites—Nachos, Quesadilla, Wings (three ways), Crispy Calamari, Beer Battered Onion Rings, to name but a few.  Burgers are 8 ounces of freshly ground beef with hand-cut and French fries plus some other great toppings.  Salads too, are a must have—Mexican, Cobb, Tropical.  Steaks, Chops and Seafood are also there to tempt your appetite.  The bar area offers ample room to watch live sports events on one of our 8 oversized plasma TVs—so there’s never a bad seat in the house.

Boasting a 50-foot mahogany bar surrounded with beautiful woodwork, Mulholland’s sets out to capture the aesthetic of old Irish pubs. In direct contrast are 12 huge high-definition plasma TVs lining the walls. The Mulholland Brothers take sporting events so seriously they’ve even put a huge indoor/outdoor flatscreen in their spacious backyard so all you die-hards won’t miss a single second of the game. And on chilly nights, the floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace is lit for warmth as well as comfort.

putnamsPutnam’s Bar & Grill – 419 Myrtle Avenue | Corner of Myrtle & Clinton

At Putnam’s the kitchen is open until 2am and the bar is open until 4am, which is always good to know.  The food at Putnam’s is very good and always consistent.  Their Happy Hour is from Mon-Fri 3pm-7pm.  They have a nice selection of draft beers on tap and they make good drinks.  They don’t have tons of monitors, but it is a good place to watch the game, especially if you want something good to eat at the same time.
