As New Yorkers, we can all agree – New York City is the best city in the world. Why should our beer should be any different? With that in mind, we present New York City Beer Week’s first ever Opening Bash Invitational.

We’ve raised the curtain on Beer Week at Grand Central’s iconic Vanderbilt Hall. We’ve taken Opening Bash on a cruise around the NYC harbor with a pit stop at the Statue of Liberty. In 2017, we’re bringing you Opening Bash, the remix: your favorite New York City breweries invite their favorite breweries from around the world to a beer festival like none other.

Opening Bash Invitational will feature:
+ Unlimited sampling from 50 breweries from across the country, including 25 of your NYC favorites
+ Branded takehome tasting glass
+ The chance to purchase beer to-go from 15 select breweries
+ Food for purchase with vendors curated by LIC Flea
+ Snack samples from Bronx Hot Sauce, SlantShack, Kombrewcha, Woodward Extract Co., A Cake Baked in Brooklyn and Fairway Market
+ Water lounge provided by Essentia Water
+ Music and pop-up record shop collaboration with Rough Trade NYCs
+ Access to the brewery merch store (buy a beanie from one brewery and a hoodie from another at the same time)
+ Photobooth and Arcade arena – old school free games from air hockey to pinball

General Admission ticketholders will have access from 6:30-9:30pm. Ticket includes entry and unlimited 2oz pours. Food will be available to purchase on site. (A limited number of GA tickets will be available for $65 at the door)

VIP ticketholders will be invited to enter early for our VIP hour from 5:30-6:30pm and gain exclusive access to the VIP lounge serving rare/limited beer pours and food provided by Blue Smoke.”
