New tattoo shop Electric Gorilla Tattoo has been turning heads in Bushwick lately, and we here at Brooklyn Buzz got to talk to owner Jaz briefly about his shop, his future plans, and more!

BB: How long have you been a tattoo artist?
Jaz: I’ve been tattooing for 29 years.
BB: Where did you do your tattoo’s before coming to Bushwick?
Jaz: Before Bushwick I was in Berlin for a few years and then Richmond Virginia.

BB: What makes Bushwick special to you? Why did you choose to open up a shop there?
Jaz: Bushwick is an up and coming area in tattooing, it’s full of people interested in traditional work.
BB: What makes your tattoo shop special?
Jaz: We specialize in a variety of styles, which are American traditional, modern Japanese, fine line black and grey and photo-realism.
BB: Do you plan on opening other shops in different locations?
Jaz: At the moment I want to focus on this shop, later on it might happen!
