Mythic VR Launches at a New Development in Greenpoint

A New York City based startup company, Mythic VR, officially launched on Sunday, June 4th, 2017, in Greenpoint Brooklyn at a new construction condo. Mythic VR is a company that develops solutions for buyers to explore virtual properties. The launch was represented by Nest Seekers International. Mythic VR has designed and built an intuitive Virtual Reality user interface for the HTC Vive headset which includes hand controllers, full-body tracking, and photorealism to give buyers an awe-inducing sense of presence. Some clients of theirs are Pepsi, Empire Office, Northwell, and Nest Seekers International.

Carolyn Chappelle, a NYC real estate veteran and the Manager Of Business Devlopment of Mythic VR explained that she “automatically knew the technology would be ideal for real estate because it’s very important for buyers to have the ability to visualize their home, especially in the pre-sale market. In the new millennium, brokers still sell to buyers from floor plans, static web images and renderings. It’s time to take real estate sales to the next level.” (quote via nycnewswire.com). There were a total of 30 experiences from the launch of the event, and according to nycnewswire.com, 95% of the users said that the experience was “as effective as a full-scale model unit. More than half of the users claimed they would be confident making a purchase with only a VR walk-through.”

Mythic VR plans to provide developers and brokerage firms with the ability to have their entire collection of real estate in virtual reality. Doing so allows potential buyers to preview their listings from a single location, which saves time for both the client and agent. Mythic VR is riding the Virtual and Augmented Reality markets with luxury real estate as their primary niche, (which look to surpass $100 billion in market share by year 2020).

The public can try out the Mythic VR system every Sunday in June from 12-3 pm at 174 West Street, Brooklyn, NY. The new condo development will be sold exclusively through Nest Seekers International (represented by Steven Irizarry and Justin Martinez).
