Yoga & Poetry with Miranda Field At The Central Public Library On March 12th!

About:
“Please bring your own yoga mat. Doors open at 9:00 am. Class starts at 9:30 am sharp.

Imagine starting your yoga class with the wise words of your instructor, who calls out a pose or two, and the pose is followed by a poem read live by a its author. Yoga & Poetry is a new initiative of the Brooklyn Public Library that features yoga instruction paired with the added joy of live poetry. The series will curate major living poets, who will appear onsite to read their work. This combination creates an atmosphere of wakefulness that makes yoga and poetry the quintessential way to do both.

Previously featured poets include Yusef Komunyakaa and Ana Božičević.
