Dumbo’s New Arrival: The Bridges Dumbo

About:
“The Bridges :: A new American restaurant, located in the continually evolving and historic area of Dumbo Brooklyn, has been designed to invite both the past and the present to seamlessly coexist.

The vision of the team behind The Bridges has been to keep the old world feeling of the neighborhood and the land marked space. Through the design, food and drinks, a freshness and ease is created which welcomes locals and tourists alike.

Owner Gina O’Keefe, with Chef Carl Alioto, has created a menu that infuses simple American cuisine into a Gastro Pub style. The dishes are fresh, innovative and relevant. The cocktail menu tempts the palate with refreshing drinks not ordinarily seen on cocktail lists and the draught beer selection has been chosen with great care to foster a symbiotic relationship with the food, as well as a strength to stand alone.

The Bridge’s designer, Carrie Drosnes, used a number of natural and clearly recognizable elements in creating the look of the space (wood, metal, steel, copper, glass, brick) to keep the old world feel while choosing colors and textures that keep the entire space warm, comfortable, casual and welcoming.

The Bridges has successfully managed to create a secondary environment by modestly installing 14 flat screen TV’s, as well as 2 standard size pool tables, for anyone interested in having a relaxed dinner and drinks while watching any of the great sporting events from around the world.

The pool tables are in a separate room where you can shoot pool at no charge (honor system in action), have a drink, order a meal or simply look at the vintage photos of the area.

Downstairs, exquisite black and white photos, taken by resident photographer Davy Curran, line the walls with present day photos of the bridges and the surrounding area.

The Bridges welcomes families, businesses, tourists and sports fans alike. It’s a great place to host a party or corporate event.

Come, relax, enjoy!”
