“NE is a series of portraits taken from around the world by photographer Tom Wool. These portraits are both artistic and anthropological. The cultures and traditions of the children represented in the exhibition are rapidly changing or disappearing. This project assists in their documentation through the act of observation and taking photographs. Each photograph was taken against a white backdrop, removing the environment, to focus clearly on the person photographed. The photographs are intended to be a tribute to each individual.”
