Film for Good! is a film club dedicated to fundraising for important causes, bringing folks together for a night at the movies (except it’s at Purgatory, so it’s better) and a stripped down musical performance. This month’s screening will feature “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” (1995), followed by a set from country-folk locals Ranch Hands. All proceeds will benefit the Campaign for Southern Equality, a non-profit dedicated to advocating for the legal and lived equality of LGBTQ folks in the South. A night for movie-lovers, Patrick-Swayze-in-drag enthusiasts, and people that listen exclusively to sad folk music the second the weather dips below 65 degrees. (That was a self-read.)
