Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet (JGCO) cordially invites cherished supporters, partners, and the wider community to a historic evening celebrating three decades of artistic excellence, cultural enrichment, and community impact. JGCO’s 30th Anniversary Gala will be held at BAM Fisher and will feature REMEMBERING, a powerful presentation directed and choreographed by Jamel Gaines. The evening will also include a special tribute performance honoring Malcolm X’s centennial, underscoring our commitment to cultural storytelling through dance and theater.

Choreographer Miro Magloire presents his New Chamber Ballet in two premieres to compositions by contemporary composers Elizabeth Gartman and Ya-Lan Chan. Music played live by violinist Madeline Hocking and pianist Melody Fader. Known for his musicality, Magloire began his career as a composer, attending for four years the Musikhochschule Koln in his native Germany, where he studied under Mauricio Kagel.

Do you own a cookbook you love but never use? Or cherished family recipes that could be creatively commemorated? What about that stack of old food magazines or restaurant menus you can’t seem to let go of? Join MOFAD for a community crafting workshop and transform those cookbooks and recipes into vibrant works of art. With guidance from multi-disciplinary artist and chef, Andrea Lekberg, we’ll chat about our favorite recipes and lean into our creativity at this hands-on collage workshop.
We encourage you to bring physical cookbooks, recipes, food magazines, restaurant menus, or anything else you like! Don’t want to cut into a favorite piece? Bring a photocopy! MOFAD will also provide plenty of supplies for you to create for you to create your own cookbook collage to take home.
Ticket includes access to Flavor: The World to Your Brain from 6 to 7 PM, baked goods from The Artist Baker, and beverages.
Riding high off their 2024 “Roll With It Tour,” which received rave reviews from fans and critics alike and boasted several sold out shows, Billboard Chart-topping blues rockers The Record Company (TRC) have announced that they will be continuing their routing into 2025 and will be headlining the Music Hall of Williamsburg on April 11. They will continue to support their latest release The4th Album.
During the shows, fans will enjoy the trio’s signature raw, bluesy rock sound as they perform tracks from their new record like lead single, “Talk to Me,” which reached #4 at AAA radio, and signature songs like “Dance On Mondays” and “Highway Lady.” The triumvirate will also round out their performance with hits from their catalog, including “Off the Ground” (#1 on the U.S. Billboard Alternative Songs Chart), “Rita Mae Young” (#12 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart), and “Baby, I’m Broken” (#6 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart).
TRC, featuring Vocalist and Guitarist Chris Vos, Bassist and Background Vocalist Alex Stiff, and Drummer Marc Cazorla, has a chemistry that brings a familial warmth to their music. Their 2016 debut album, Give It Back to You, earned a Grammy nomination and established their reputation for delivering both chart-topping tracks and thrilling live performances. Notably, their 2019 Bonnaroo set, described by Rolling Stone Country as “a wildly energetic show and one of the most communal experiences of the festival,” earned them a spot on Rolling Stone’s “5 Best Country and Americana Moments.” Over the years, they’ve shared stages with legends like John Mayer, B.B. King, Social Distortion, Bob Seger, and Blackberry Smoke, further cementing their place in modern rock.
Today, more than a decade since the band formed, TRC continues to take fans along with them on their musical journey through their stripped back approach.
“We want people to feel like they’re in the house [studio] with us, being part of this unpolished and homemade thing,” said Stiff. Cazorla added, “We embrace that space [between us] as part of the raw element. That’s what we explored on our latest album, and it’s beautiful. We can’t wait to continue it on the road.”
