Brooklyn Thrives in 2013 Elections!

mayor deblasioBy now we all know that Brooklyn is thriving, with President Obama making a stop at a Brooklyn high school recently and Brooklyn becoming a destination for the world. But Tuesday night solidified Brooklyn as the go-to borough in NYC, with Brooklyn’s Bill de Blasio becoming the NYC mayor and Brooklyn’s Tish James winning de Blasio’s vacant Public Advocate seat.

Other key elected officials who will take office in the borough are:

Eric Adams – Brooklyn Borough President (Takes over for Marty Markowitz)

Laurie Cumbo – City Council 35th District (Takes over for Tish James)

Inez Barron – City Council 42nd District (Takes over for Charles Barron)

Robert Cornegy – City Council 36th District (Takes over for Al Vann)
