Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet (JGCO) cordially invites cherished supporters, partners, and the wider community to a historic evening celebrating three decades of artistic excellence, cultural enrichment, and community impact. JGCO’s 30th Anniversary Gala will be held at BAM Fisher and will feature REMEMBERING, a powerful presentation directed and choreographed by Jamel Gaines. The evening will also include a special tribute performance honoring Malcolm X’s centennial, underscoring our commitment to cultural storytelling through dance and theater.

Since its founding, JGCO has been committed to fostering artistic expression that reflects the resilience, diversity, and spirit of the communities we serve. This milestone event will celebrate our journey with an evening of captivating performances, storytelling, and tributes to those who have played an integral role in our success. The Gala will feature performances from our renowned Dance-Theater Ensemble, Young Artists, and Cultural Arts Program, reflecting on our rich history while offering a glimpse into the future.
Our 30th Anniversary Gala is more than a celebration—it is a fundraiser dedicated to sustaining and expanding JGCO’s mission. Proceeds from the event will directly support our efforts in inspiring youth, empowering underrepresented voices, and increasing access to the arts in Brooklyn and beyond. Donations will help fund our Arts in Education programs, scholarships, and community wellness initiatives, ensuring that the transformative power of the arts reaches even more individuals.

Choreographer Miro Magloire presents his New Chamber Ballet in two premieres to compositions by contemporary composers Elizabeth Gartman and Ya-Lan Chan. Music played live by violinist Madeline Hocking and pianist Melody Fader. Known for his musicality, Magloire began his career as a composer, attending for four years the Musikhochschule Koln in his native Germany, where he studied under Mauricio Kagel.
