The most excellent borough of Brooklyn was doing just fine, thank you very much, for all those decades before it seemingly got “discovered” these past few years by the likes of the New York Times. Not that we’re complaining… really, Brooklyn still feels like Brooklyn–all of the energy and vibrancy of Manhattan, but on a more neighborly scale–and the food’s never been better.
