On December 23rd, 2023, the spirit of giving and joy radiated through the heart of the Bed-Stuy community as Clothed With Love Inc. hosted another successful toy giveaway and “community giveback” day. The event, located at the crossroads of compassion and community, aimed to spread holiday cheer and bring smiles to the faces of children during the festive season, all in honor of Kevin Hall, son of Curtis and Denese Hall (Founders), who passed away at the young age of 36 on August 25, 2023.

The generous outpouring of support from residents, businesses, and volunteers made this event a resounding success. Families from all walks of life gathered at the heartwarming location to receive toys, clothing, food and to experience the joy that comes with the holiday season.
In memory of their son, Curtis and Denese, sought to turn grief into gratitude by channeling love and compassion toward the community and the causes their son cherished. The toy giveaway, organized in his honor, became a source of comfort, and hope for both organizers and attendees alike.
The event featured an array of toys suitable for various age groups, ensuring that each child received a gift tailored to their preferences. From dolls and action figures to educational games and puzzles, the diverse selection of toys contributed to the inclusive and festive atmosphere that permeated the venue.

Special thanks go out to Pentecostal Evangelistic Outreach, for allowing the event to be hosted at their location at 102 Jefferson Avenue, Brooklyn NY and to The Alkaline Oasis located at 958 Halsey Street, Brooklyn, NY who hosted day two’s giveaway. Each location became a hub of excitement and gratitude as children picked out their own gifts, their faces lit up with pure delight. The event not only provided material gifts but also fostered a sense of unity and togetherness within the community.
Clothed With Love would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the local businesses, volunteers, and residents who contributed to the success of this event. Their unwavering support showcases the true spirit of community and highlights the positive impact that can be achieved when we come together for a common cause. Special thanks also go out to Logos International Fellowship for the groceries; The Campaign Against Hunger; HealthJox Foundation & Exousia Cathedral for donating 200 toys; Toys for Tots for their generous donation of 400 toys; The Bridgestreet Development Corporation for sending us 7 volunteers; Breuklyn Pizzeria for donating pizza and Mr. G. Photos for capturing the Kodak moments.
As we reflect on the success of this event, Clothed With Love remains committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those in need. The Community Giveaway Day, dedicated to the memory of Kevin Hall, serves as a testament to the power of community and the joy that can be spread through simple acts of kindness.
