And as if the usual white noise of platforms and spin weren’t enough, we’ve been forced to deal with the absurdity of candidates who literally refute recorded evidence of their actions and accusations of “coughing prevention machines.” In all the ridiculous chatter it’s hard to remember that there are actual issues that people care about, such as women’s health care and abortion rights.
