“ALTER opened for business at 109 Franklin Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on 2/2/2007, stocking new and vintage clothing, shoes and accessories for men and women. Less than two years later we opened a second location directly across the street at 140 Franklin Street, at which point 109 became all Menswear and 140 all Womenswear. In the Fall of 2010 a “co-ed” store on Graham Ave in Williamsburg Brooklyn was debuted. The summer of 2012 brought the ALTER house label to fruition. This Brooklyn made collection of Menswear and Womenswear is all about easy wearable pieces with a twist created by the shops owner’s Roy Caires and Tommy Cole.
