Housing Works will be providing FREE Blood Pressure, Glucose and HIV screening at the East Brooklyn 5K Run/Walk, from their new Mobile Unit, this Saturday September 19, 2015. You can Register for the East Brooklyn 5K Run/Walk Here. If you are not going to run or walk you can still get your Free screening(s), which will take place at the park at the Gateway Center Mall (447 Gateway Drive, Brooklyn NY 11239) from 10am-1pm.
You can register in person at the ENY Restoration LDC offices, located at 1159 elton Street, Brooklyn NY 11239 at the new Elton/Gateway corridor, which is steps away from the Gateway Center Mall. They are taking in person registrations Thursday Sept 17 from 12pm-8pm and Friday Sept 18 from 12pm-6pm. Call Melinda Perkins at ENY Restoration LDC at 718-676-5920, for more information.
The East Brooklyn 5K Run/Walk, which is sponsored by ShopRite, begins at Linden Park at 9am sharp and ends at the park at Gateway Drive, where all of the festivities will take place. Runners and walkers receive t-shirts, wrist bands entitling you to Boar’s Head sandwiches, water and fruit, giveaways from sponsors and more.
