Buzzworthy Restaurant of the Week: Xi’an Famous Foods

As they say on Game of Thrones, winter is coming… except it feels like it’s already here! This leaves your stomach aching for something warm and tasty, no? Well, Xi’an Famous Foods delivers exactly what you’re looking for with its Western Chinese Cuisine from its newest location in Greenpoint – which just opened doors on December 6th. The East Williamsburg spot still stands, but we’re VERY HAPPY about being able to choose. The best part is that most dishes are available for under $10!  It’s a cash-only joint, so hit the ATM before you arrive. According to brokelyn.com, Anthony Bourdain is a big fan of Xi’an Famous Foods too, so it’s actually famous and you know you’ll be in for a great treat. People flock to this place like nobody’s business, so there can be a long line just based on that. However, another important reason is that National Grid has not yet linked up their gas (shame on National Grid!) and so they’re cooking using electric appliances. Just know that your wait is a small price to pay for absolute deliciousness.
