Business partners, Ivan Spence and Kieran McNamara, are life-long friends born and raised in Belfast, Ireland. Upon taking over the pub in July of 2014, they have made a few minor changes to the interior of the space, and added a few items to the menu with the help of new chef, Sergei Wiszniewski

Having worked with the previous owner, Kevin O’Lunny, at Kevin St. James in Manhattan, Ivan Spence was first pick to take over the space when Mr. O’Lunny decided to sell his business. Being a local and patron to Brooklyn Public House, Spence knew he wanted to retain the integrity and positive aspects of the business, including the name, approachable menu and friendly atmosphere.

Brooklyn Public House serves lunch + dinner throughout the week, as well as brunch on Saturday and Sundays. Beers rotate seasonally and the menu is slightly smaller than before with great gastropub dishes and bar favorites.”
