Comedy is coming to BAM Starting tonight courtesy of BAM and IFC the next installment of Get It Out There comedy showcase. Started in 2012, this monthly comedy showcase—free and open to the public—encourages comics to experiment recklessly with humor by testing out fresh material and probing the depths of their twisted souls for new forms of funny.

Tonights show begins at 9pm (bar opens at 8pm) in BAMcafé, 30 Lafayette Ave. This showcase features Phil Hanley (CBC Radio One’s “The Debaters,” Just for Laughs festival in Montreal), Joe Zimmerman (John Oliver New York Standup Show, Laughing Skull Comedy Festival semi-finalist), and Sheng Wang (Comedy Central Presents Sheng Wang, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham), plus a special guest. The night will be hosted by Kara Klenk (host of “If You Build It” at UCB East, Time Out New York “Joke of the Year” nominee).

Past guests have included Sarah Silverman, Colin Quinn, Judah Friedlander, and Jon Glaser, with surprise guests dropping in at several events. For more information, visit www.ifc.com/get-it-out-there.
