Crunch has spent more than 20 years on the cutting edge of exercise by adhering to a simple principle: make fitness fun. Below are a few pointers from Crunch on gaining balance and stability as the weather heats up and juggling work and play becomes more challenging!
– Looking to completely revamp your eating habits? Start small. Changing everything at once is overwhelming and hard to keep up long-term. Achieving mini-goals along the way will help you feel accomplished and motivate you to keep continue to work towards a balanced diet. For example, if you’re eating about 2 servings of fruit per week now, try to eat 3 servings this week. If that was easy, increase it to 4 next week until you reach 2-3 servings per day.
– BOSU® Bootcamp is a class that teaches Integrated Balance Training on an apparatus that is a cross between a core board and a stability ball. It’s fun, it’s challenging, and it’s a total body workout for any fitness level!
– Lunges are an incredibly effective exercise that requires balance, strength and agility, all in one movement. However, doing lunges can be intimidating or painful if not done correctly. To perform the perfect lunge, start with your shoulders back, hips forward, feet shoulder width apart. Take a step forward and drop your back knee at a 90 degree angle. Be careful not to cross your knee in front of your toe, which can be painful because it puts too much pressure on your knee. Push off with your heel and return to starting position.
