Prospect-Park-Collection_335W

About:
In conjunction with the exhibition Crossing Brooklyn: Art from Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, and Beyond, artist Matthew Jensen leads a walk exploring a nearby section of Flatbush Avenue, where more than three hundred years of history have layered the landscape with small wonders.

The walk begins under the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Arch at Grand Army Plaza and ends at the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Empire Boulevard. Along the way Jensen will discuss how research, walking, collecting, documenting, and discovering come together in his work. Walkers will also collectively amass found objects and ephemera while pausing at curious and noteworthy landmarks.

Estimated length of tour is 90 minutes. Tickets are $8 and are available at www.museumtix.com. Free for Members; call the Membership hotline at (718) 501-6326 or email us to reserve.”
