BROOKLYN BOLTS WIN EXCITING SEASON OPENER

Brooklyn Bolts vs Boston BrawlersThe FXFL Commissioner, Brian Woods, was on hand in Brooklyn at MCU Stadium to watch his professional football league and the Brooklyn Bolts make history.  The Brooklyn Bolts won their season opener, 27-20 over the Boston Brawlers Wednesday night.  The game was just as exciting as the FXFL Commissioner promised, with long passes and big plays from both teams.  The game also featured a very impressive halftime fireworks display.  The Bolts also donned very nice adidas jerseys with BROOKLYN boldly written across the front, as part of that Brooklyn pride that seems to have caught on around the world.

The play on the field was exciting as well, making for a great start of pro football being played at MCU stadium.  The Bolts’ Kevin Elliott was very impressive and could easily fit nicely on an NFL roster.  Elliott, a 6’3 wide receiver who was waived by the Buffalo Bills in August, caught 2 touchdown passes from Corey Robinson in the game.  Mario Fannin, who looked like he is all healed after spending two seasons being injured while on the Denver Broncos, scored on a touchdown run.
