Learn Ballet At The Brooklyn Dance Project!


Karine Newborn was born and raised in Paris France where she studied ballet with teachers from the Paris conservatory and The Paris Opera, she also studied jazz, modern, placement and voice. At the age of 15 she started working in some of the most renowned modern jazz companies in Paris and performed in “Cats” (Paris). She continued her career in France until she moved to America to pursue bigger dreams. She worked as a dancer,Choreographer and dance teacher for well over 2 decades, and had the joy of performing in many stage shows (“Golden Boys”, “Cats”, “Aida” (Broadway) and numerous music videos & movies (“South Pacific” with Glenn Close, “Do You Want To Dance” etc.) trade show industrial (Nike, Asix, Abba & many more).

Karine has choreographed for many shows in Los Angeles and was the associate choreographer on “Golden Boy” (Long Wharf Theater/Connecticut). She has taught in some of the most respected dance schools in America (Edge, Broadway Dance Center) as well as in Japan and Paris.”
